Biography:
Andrea Ross enjoys helping students view their writing as a knowledge-making practice. Her teaching areas include Environmental Writing, Journalism, Science Journalism, Business Writing, Advanced Composition, and First-Year Writing. She worked for ten years as an environmental educator, National Park Service interpretive ranger, and wilderness guide. Also a businesswoman, Andrea owned and ran an all-women's wilderness adventure travel business for five years. Andrea majored in Community Studies at UC Santa Cruz. In graduate school at UC Davis, she studied English Literature with an emphasis on Creative Writing. Her research interests include Adoption Studies, Wilderness Studies, Feminist Rhetoric, and Multimodal Composition. More information at andrearosswriter.com
